OCEAN SOUL – Recently released by National Geographic, Brian Skerry’s monograph Ocean Soul is a stunning collection of undersea photographs produced during his decades of ocean exploration. In this special presentation for BLUE, Brian will take the audience with him on assignment, sharing the inspiration for his work and the stories behind the iconic photographs. From harp seals swimming beneath polar ice to sharks on tropical reefs, Brian will celebrate the ocean's magnificence while also showing the damage caused by climate change and over fishing. Images and tales from his latest stories (Seamounts and Mesoamerican Reef), which appear in the September and October 2012 issues of National Geographic magazine, will also be featured in this show.
