Lauren is a model, actress, and ocean activist in New York. She grew up in a coastal town in Florida and earned her scuba diving license before she got her driver's license. She received her degree in marine biology with a specialization in aquaculture and nautical archaeology from the University of Miami. She also worked in the field marine geology, studying formanifera.



Since coming to New York, she became a member of the Junior Ocean Council member of Oceana and garnered attention with her national commercial for Neutrogena's Wave for Change campaign, working towards educating the public about sustainable seafood. She created a tv program called The Blue Room, an educational series (geared towards elementary and middle school aged children) to inspire kids to get involved with ocean conservation and learn about ways they can protect the environment. She is hoping to get The Blue Room picked up! She is also a member of Riverkeeper.
