Rachel practices land use and environmental law as Greenfire Law.  She focuses her practice on public lands and environmental law (e.g., Clean Water Act, National Environmental Policy Act, California's Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act, Endangered Species Act, National Forest Management Act, and state land use law).  She is licensed in California and North Carolina.
Prior to commencing her legal career, Rachel worked as a fellow at the Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Water where she focused on land use policy solutions to the problem of hypoxia (the "Dead Zone") in the Gulf of Mexico and other multi-state water quality issues. She also has experience with policy formation and regulatory drafting both from her work at the EPA and in California. 
Rachel holds a J.D. degree from the University of Virginia School of Law, a M.S. degree in Natural Resources Policy with a minor concentration in biogeochemistry from Cornell University, and a B.S. degree in Biochemistry, Cellular, and Molecular Biology from the University of Tennessee.
