Sue Ellen McCann has been interested in science, dialog and communication since she first visited a natural history museum in the 4th grade. She currently leads a multimedia science and environment unit focusing on news, education, video and community contributed content as an executive producer at KQED. Her portfolio includes QUEST, a science and environment journalism and education project about Northern California. She is a Co-Pi for the Center for
the Advancement of Informal Science Education (CAISE) and a core member of the Coalition on the Public Understanding of Science (COPUS). She is a frequent speaker on public media
and communicating science to the public and in the seventh grade had the honor of performing the duties of lab assistant for the Biology Department.
